56 people arrested, booked overnight in WV Regional Jails
There were 56 people arrested and booked overnight in West Virginia’s Regional Jail system.
Twelve people were booked into the Southern Regional Jail. Locally, at Barboursville, there were seven people booked into the Western Regional Jail.
Two of those people were booked on felony charges.
Joseph Edward Morris, 35, was arrested by a Huntington Police officer about 12:05 a.m. Sunday. Morris was charged with six counts of the felony charge of wanton endangerment as well as a DUI first offense. Morris also was charged with two counts of person prohibited from possessing a firearm.
James Emmitt Childers, 30, was arrested about 12:25 a.m. Sunday. He was charged with the felony of possession of a controlled substance with an intent to deliver. Childers also had an outstanding warrant as well.
