Accounting firm raises money for Hoops Family Children's Hospital
HUNTINGTON -- Workers at the accounting firm Hayflich have been dressing down in an effort to raise money for the Hoops Family Children's Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
The firm's employees had celebrated a "Cash for Comfort" day which led to a donation of more than $1,400 for the hospital.
"All of us here at Hayflich have a strong commitment to our community and the individuals who lead organizations toward advancements for the future," Aaron Heighton, member at Hayflich, said in a release. "We see the addition of the Children's Hospital as one of those advancements."
Construction is nearing completion on the new entrance to the Hoops Family Children's Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital and work will soon begin on the reconstruction of the hospital's fifth-floor Pediatric Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
"The efforts of these employees at Hayflich exemplify the community fundraising efforts that have helped us get where we are with this project," said Velma Workman, development outreach coordinator for the Cabell Huntington Hospital Foundation. "These gifts are gifts from the heart of our community. They come from employees who are creative in finding ways to support the Hoops Family Children's Hospital and we are grateful for their generosity."
The Hoops Family Children's Hospital, which is under construction, is a 72-bed children's hospital within a hospital located at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
