Cold-frame gardening workshop scheduled
HUNTINGTON -- Gardeners will have the opportunity to learn to extend the traditional growing season with a cold-frame construction workshop hosted by West Virginia State University Extension Service.
The workshop will be at noon Thursday, Jan. 31, at the Barnett Center.
Cold frames are enclosures designed with transparent roofs that allow plants to still receive sunlight while shielding them from dangerous elements, like excessive moisture or cold temperatures.
The class costs $40 and includes a cold-frame kit. Registration is required by calling 304-541-3301 or emailing email@example.com.
The Barnett Center is located at 1524 10th Ave.
