Local church to host dedication ceremony
PROCTORVILLE -- One local church wants to say "thank you" in a big way.
That's why the congregation at McKinley United Baptist Church is hosting a dedication service and appreciation ceremony at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at its new facility at 1341 State Route 775 North in Proctorville.
The original church building, which was an 85-year-old converted one-room school building, was torn down in 2009 to make way for the construction of a new church, which was completed late last year.
During the event, the church will host a dedication service for those who helped with the construction, which will be followed by a reception with refreshments.
The event is open to the public.
