The Tri-State Literacy Council is now seeking tutors for the program

HUNTINGTON -- The Tri-State Literacy Council is seeking tutors for the program.

Volunteers can receive training in three upcoming sessions from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, March 4 to 6, and Tuesday, March 12, on the third floor of the Cabell County Public Library, 455 9th St. in Huntington.

Successful completion requires attendance on all four evenings. Tutors and adult students once matched, meet for one to two hours weekly.

Tri-State Literacy Council is a non-profit organization improve literacy. Participants in the reading program may be new readers, or they may be updating their reading and math skills in preparation for GED examination.
