Four Cabell County shops fail alcohol compliance checks
HUNTINGTON -- Four establishments in Cabell County sold alcohol to an underage person during alcohol compliance checks last month, according to information released Wednesday by the Cabell County Substance Abuse Partnership.
The compliance checks were conducted on Feb. 14 at 30 county establishments by the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration, Cabell County Sheriff's Department and Huntington Police Department. Funding was provided by The Governor's Highway Safety Program.
The places that sold alcohol to the underage operative were US Food Mart, 6202 East Pea Ridge Road, Huntington; 7-Eleven #35909H, 1901 5th Ave., Huntington; Clark's Pump N Shop, 1587 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington; and T-Mart, 1353 Madison Ave., Huntington, the ABCA said.
Citations were issued to sales clerks at those locations by Huntington police and the sheriff's department.
