Student reports laptop stolen
The following information was provided by the Marshall University Police Department:
PETIT LARCENY: A student reported a laptop was stolen from the help desk inside Drinko Library between 9 and 11 p.m. Feb. 20.
PETIT LARCENY: A student reported her textbook, iPod and makeup were stolen either from her vehicle while it was parked in the student lot or in between tutoring sessions in Myers Hall between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Feb. 22.
STALKING: A 22-year-old student reported her ex-boyfriend had been stalking her since Feb. 1 by sending text messages and showing up at her house and class. She got a temporary personal safety order.
LARCENY FROM AUTO: A student found two men taking items from the back of his truck at 9 p.m. Tuesday in the south student lot. He said the men had broken into the toolbox in the bed of the truck, which is owned by his father, and took fishing poles, a car jack, bolt cutters and a yellow ax.
PETIT LARCENY: A student reported his bike had been stolen from outside Harris Hall between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. Thursday.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: Officers responded to Twin Towers West just after midnight Friday on a call about an odor of marijuana. The student admitted to smoking and turned over about 2 grams of marijuana. He was cited for possession of marijuana.
