B'nai Sholom planning Historic Preservation Reverse Raffle for Sunday, March 10
HUNTINGTON -- B'nai Sholom Congregation is planning its 17th annual Historic Preservation Reverse Raffle for Sunday, March 10.
The raffle provides funding to maintain the congregation's temple, which is located at the southwest corner of 10th Avenue and 10th Street. The temple was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
No more than 500 raffle tickets will be sold at $100 each, and for an additional $25, purchasers can "insure" their tickets, and have a second chance to win one of up to 25 cash prizes totaling as much as $18,650. The grand prize of $7,500 will be awarded to the holder of the last ticket drawn. Each ticket also admits two to the afternoon gala held in conjunction with the drawing.
