Manchin named Senate subcommittee chair
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Sen. Joe Manchin has been named chairman of a Senate subcommittee that deals with air and ground equipment of the U.S. military branches.
The West Virginia Democrat takes over for previous subcommittee chairman Joe Lieberman of Connecticut.
Manchin will continue serving on two other armed services subcommittees.
