One Stop at Roby Road sells $1M Powerball ticket

Mar. 07, 2013 @ 08:44 AM

HUNTINGTON — Somebody is $1 million richer this morning, after that person purchased a winning Powerball ticket in Huntington, according to the West Virginia Lottery.

The winning numbers for Wednesday’s drawing were 06-10-23-41-45. The Powerball was 1.

State lottery spokesman Randy Burnside identified the store as being the One Stop convenience store, located at 1413 U.S. 60 near its intersection with Roby Road in East Huntington.

It was one of two $1 million tickets sold in West Virginia for Wednesday night’s drawing. The other was sold at the Julian Mini-Mart in Julian, W.Va. Neither winner has come forward.

Both matched the first five numbers, but missed the Powerball. Neither played the game’s PowerPlay for an extra $1, which would have won a prize of $2 million.

Burnside advises those winners to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they can claim the prize. He also recommends they call lottery headquarters prior to showing up in Charleston.

Seven other $1 million tickets were sold in other states.

There was no jackpot winner. That person, who would have had to match all five numbers and the Powerball, would have won or shared the $123 million jackpot. The jackpot now grows to an estimated $150 million for Saturday.
