Ex-Little League official in Ohio sentenced to 6 months
HAMILTON, Ohio — A former Little League baseball administrator in Ohio has been sentenced to six months in jail for child pornography.
Fifty-year-old Roger Fox Jr. of Hamilton was sentenced Monday in Butler County. Common Pleas Judge Patricia Oney also sentenced him to five years of probation, ordered sex offender treatment, and barred him from unsupervised contact with unrelated minors.
In addition, Fox must undergo drug and alcohol monitoring and his Internet and cellphone use will be restricted. He also will have to register with the sheriff’s office in his home area.
As a Little League administrator, Fox set up tournaments in southwest Ohio and helped with administrative duties for a dozen Little League organizations.
Fox earlier pleaded guilty to seven child pornography counts. Authorities said the images involved were computer-generated.
Fox could have been sentenced to eight years or more in prison.
“He takes responsibility that this has been a mistake on his part and it will not happen again,” said Fox’s attorney, Lawrence Hawkins III.
