Repairs to close part of New River Gorge trail
FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — A section of the Rend Trail in the New River Gorge National River will be closed this summer while crews repair a retaining wall.
The National Park Service said Tuesday that a large hole has compromised the integrity of the 32-feet high stone wall.
An 800-feet section of the Rend Trail will be closed June 3 at the start of the third trestle. The trail section will reopen Sept. 28.
