Showers may make this year's Memorial Day, as well as Tuesday, wet before sunny skies return for the remainder of the week and temperatures head to the 90s.

Here's the National Weather Service forecast for the Tri-State:

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72.

Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Calm wind.

Memorial Day: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 a.m., then a chance of showers between 11 a.m. and noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Calm wind becoming east around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Monday night: A slight chance of showers before 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Light northeast wind. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tuesday: A slight chance of showers between noon and 2 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.
