Local advocate attends hearing conference
HUNTINGTON — Huntington resident Marsha Mattingly, president of the local Beltone Hearing Aid Center, attended a leadership conference at the International Hearing Society’s 57th Annual Convention and Exposition held in September in Savannah, Ga.
During the event, chapter leaders from around the world met to discuss various issues surrounding effective leadership on local levels, Mattingly said in a press release.
“Leaders were given information and tools to take home to their groups to become a stronger, more viable group,” she said. “This conference armed me with what I need to continue to make a difference for the West Virginia chapter.”
Mattingly is governor of the West Virginia chapter and owns the Tri-State area Beltone Hearing Aid Centers, a family owned company that has been serving the community for 43 years.
The International Hearing Society is the professional association for hearing instrument specialists. IHS supports programs of education, research and licensing for individuals engaged in the field of hearing instrument sciences.
