Proctorville organizations hosting live nativity

Dec. 14, 2010 @ 11:40 PM

PROCTORVILLE, Ohio -- Several organizations in Rome Township and Proctorville putting on a live nativity, sponsored by Finley United Methodist Church.

The nativity scene will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 21 and 22, near the corner of Slate and Thomas streets. It's title is "Tell Me the Story of Jesus."

The program will feature the singing of traditional Christmas carols and contemporary music. Costumed characters, including angels and wise men will act out the Christmas story. The cast includes more than 60 men, women and children and also includes live instrumental and solo performances.

The church first performed the nativity in 1998. Since then, the church has held the free event several times.

A reception will follow at Living Grace Bible Church, located on Ohio 775, one block from Stephens Insurance Agency.
