Cyber safety summit rescheduled for Nov. 28 at Marshall
HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University's free cyber safety summit, originally scheduled for Oct. 30 but postponed because of inclement weather, has been rescheduled.
It will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28. The summit will take place in the Memorial Student Center on the Huntington campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is for adults, college students and younger students ages 12-14.
During the sessions, participants can learn how to prevent cyber bullying, keep themselves and their families safe online, handle the dangers of social media, keep their information and computers safe and identify scams.
The event is sponsored by the Department of Integrated Science & Technology, the FBI, and the Appalachian Institute of Digital Evidence.
