Head-on collision sends two people to hospital
HUNTINGTON — Two people were taken to a local hospital following a head-on collision Sunday on 5th Street Hill.
The accident occurred about 1 p.m. and involved a white Toyota Camry and a white minivan. The drivers of both vehicles sustained injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
The driver of the Toyota, a woman, was unconscious and had to be extricated from the vehicle by Huntington firefighters. Her vehicle sustained significant damage to the driver’s side and came to rest on a hillside in the northbound lane of 5th Street Hill just south of Honeysuckle Lane.
Fifth Street Hill was closed to traffic following the accident.
