Beckley VA Medical Center plans expansion
BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) — The Beckley VA Medical Center is planning two expansion projects totaling more than $10 million.
One $5.8 million project will add an 8,000-square-foot building adjacent to the hospital. The building will house an expanded adult health care program and other programs.
Hospital officials also plan to construct a 2,300-square-foot deck suite on the second floor. The $5.8 million addition will house a magnetic resonance imaging scanner.
Media outlets report that hospital officials broken ground for the projects Monday. Both projects are tentatively scheduled to be completed in 2014.
