South Point couple wins $100K from lottery ticket
A South Point, Ohio, couple won $100,000 in a lottery game, the West Virginia Lottery reported Monday.
Jessica and Richard Cremeans, who both attended Marshall University, won with a Muscle Car Money ticket they purchased on their way to a high school football game Friday night.
"This is amazing," Jessica Cremeans said in a press release Monday. "When we scratched off the ticket...I cried."
West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave said the Cremeans bought the winning ticket at Cheaper Cigs #4 in Huntington.
"We bought two tickets," Richard Cremeans said. "The first one we scratched off was an entry ticket for the second-chance drawing."
Jessica Cremeans is a native of New Cumberland, W.Va., and attended Marshall University, where she met her husband. The couple recently moved to South Point with their 3-year-old son, Christian, the lottery said.
The couple already has plans for the money.
"We are going to pay some bills and put part of it into a college fund for Christian," Jessica Cremeans said.
