W.Va. treasurer hits road to publicize services
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia Treasurer John Perdue is hitting the road to raise awareness of the financial and educational services offered by his office.
Perdue planned to kick off his statewide tour Wednesday in Clarksburg and Bridgeport. Stops are planned Thursday in Fairmont and Morgantown.
Next week, Perdue will travel to southern West Virginia, with visits scheduled in Fayette, Raleigh and Wyoming counties. The following week, the treasurer will head to the Northern Panhandle. Perdue says he’ll visit other areas of the state later.
Perdue says his office offers a variety of services, including the SMART 529 college savings account and financial management and planning for seniors.
