Six jailed on felony charges

BARBOURSVILLE — Six people were jailed on felony charges since Thursday evening, according to booking records kept at the Western Regional Jail.

James Ray Basenback, 23, was incarcerated at 1:30 a.m. Friday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with felony delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Jamie Danielle Messer, 27, was incarcerated at 1:30 a.m. Friday. Authorities in Wayne County charged her with felony conspiracy. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Brandon Scott Kidd, 32, was incarcerated at 1:30 a.m. Friday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with felony conspiracy. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

David Vallee Hudson, 30, was incarcerated Thursday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with two counts receiving/transferring stolen property, one felony and one misdemeanor. Bond was $15,000.

Kenneth Wayne Shafer, 56, was incarcerated Thursday evening. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with felony third-offense driving on a suspended/revoked drivers license, along with misdemeanor driving under the influence, no insurance, improper registration,  and no inspection. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Howard Allen Spears, 46, was incarcerated Thursday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Bond was $35,000.
