Crisis teams at W.Va. school where student died
HUTTONSVILLE, W.Va. (AP) — Crisis counselors will be at Tygarts Valley High School after a student was stabbed to death at a football game.
Randolph County Schools Superintendent James Phares says the male student was stabbed Friday night in Huttonsville about 20 minutes before the game between Tygarts Valley and Hundred High School.
Media outlets report the suspect is being held at a juvenile detention center. Police haven’t released the name of the victim or the suspect. Phares says both were students at Tygarts Valley.
Phares says the focus now is to help the student body deal with the loss of a classmate. He says counselors will be at the school Monday.
