Boy killed in Mason County accident
A 10-year-old boy was killed in an accident Sunday afternoon in Mason County.
The accident occurred at 1:30 p.m. Sunday on Sandhill Road. The boy ran into the roadway and was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a man from Point Pleasant, according to a report from the Mason County Sheriff’s Department.
The boy was transported to Pleasant Valley Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment for his injuries. The name of the child was not disclosed Sunday.
The crash is under investigation by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.
