Auditions set for country music competition

ASHLAND -- Closed auditions will be held this weekend in Kentucky for the 2013 Country Music Highway Road to Fame Competition.

Judges will be at Fannin Motors, 7405 U.S. 60, Ashland, at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27; then 1 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at the Ramada Inn, 624 James Trimble Blvd., Paintsville.

Eight contestants will be chosen to continue their journey and advance to one of four qualification rounds to be judged by music executives from Nashville, May 3, 4, 11 and 12.
