Annual Walk to End Alzheimer's set for Saturday, Sept. 21

HUNTINGTON -- Registration is still open for the 2013 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, which will be Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.

This event serves to unite the community in a movement to reclaim the future for the millions of Americans affected by Alzheimer's disease through raising critical resources to support the local individuals and families who face this disease as well as supporting research funds to find a cure.

Registration for the Walk is free; however participants are encouraged to raise $100 to earn a commemorative Walk to End Alzheimer's t-shirt.

Teams and individual participants can register online at www.alz.org/wv or by calling 800-272-3900. Event day registration begins at 9 a.m. The Walk begins at 10 a.m. The day will feature food, prizes and the opportunity to celebrate loved ones lost to this devastating disease while taking vital steps to end it.
