Education summit on dropout prevention set Thursday
HUNTINGTON -- A summit on new dropout prevention initiatives through the Education Matters community coalition will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the St. Mary's Center for Education at 28th Street and 5th Avenue in Huntington.
An initial summit was held last year and was more focused on talking to and engaging people, understanding the data and seeing how the community could play a part in helping students graduate from high school.
Thursday's meeting is open to the community. For more information, or to RSVP for the meeting, contact Education Matters coordinator Sara Blevins at 304-523-8929, ext. 106, or email@example.com. To learn more about Education Matters, visit www.educationmatterstoeveryone.org.
