Ex-Ky. gov. to be installed as college president
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Former Kentucky Gov. Paul Patton will be installed as president of Pikeville College next week.
U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers will deliver the inauguration address. University of Kentucky President Lee Todd and University of Louisville President James Ramsey also will participate along with other dignitaries.
The ceremony is set for 2 p.m. EST Feb. 16 at Booth Auditorium, Record Memorial Building at the college.
Patton was governor from 1995 to 2003 and is chairman of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Eduction. He was a member of Pikeville College's board of trustees for more than 30 years.
