HUNTINGTON — A trip to the computer repair shop landed a Huntington man behind bars, according to court records filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Brad Maynard, 27, of Huntington was arrested Wednesday evening and incarcerated at the Western Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Criminal complaints charge Maynard took his laptop computer to an 8th Avenue repair shop. The technician then discovered suspicious videos on the computer and alerted police.

The laptop was taken into police custody and searched. Investigators found four videos. One involved a young boy made to perform a sexual act on an adult male, while another showed a 12- to 14-year-old girl being forcibly raped by an unknown age man, according to the complaints. Other videos contained similar similar behavior.

Maynard last possessed the computer May 8. The Huntington Police Department obtained an arrest warrant Wednesday and executed it later that same day.
