Workshop on addiction, recovery set for April 29

CHARLESTON -- Catholic Charities West Virginia is sponsoring "Understanding the Impact of Addiction and Supporting Recovery: Strategies and Tools for Clergy, Congregational Leader and Treatments Providers" at 9 a.m., Thursday, April 29 at Blessed John XXIII Pastoral Center, 100 Hodges Road, Charleston.

Clergy and congregational leaders will receive the latest information, resources and strategies on how to educate and provide hope to individuals and families suffering from the impact of addiction to alcohol and substance abuse.

A certificate of participation and six contact hours fort he National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors will be given to each participants. Continuing Education Units are available for licensed professional counselors, social workers and registered nurses.

Reservation must be made by Friday, April 16. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided at no charge.
