MORGANTOWN -- A Point Pleasant High School graduate has been named a finalist for Ms. Mountaineer at West Virginia University.

She is best known for being the second woman to be the official Mountaineer Mascot during her sophomore year in 2009.

Durst will be escorted by Ron and Jody Durst.

The other finalists include: Patrick Cushing of Morgantown; John Higgins of Philippi; Byron Patterson of Upper Black Eddy, Pa.; Taylor Richmond of Beckley; Jonathan Turner of Fairmont; Kacie Legg of Sissonville; Katrina Weimer of Akron, Ohio; Sarah Beth Yoder of Moundsville; and Hilah Zia of Morgantown.
