Early morning fire closes busy road near Hamlin
HAMLIN, W.Va. -- Volunteer firefighters were called out to an early morning house fire Wednesday in Hamlin, W.Va.
Lincoln County 911 received word of the fire at 5 a.m. It was located about one mile northeast of Hamlin in the 8000 block of Hamlin Road, a major thoroughfare also known as W.Va. 34.
Nobody was home at the time. No injuries were reported.
W.Va. 34 was closed for a period of time due to the firefighters' response. Those crews came from Hamlin, West Hamlin, Duval and Hurricane.
