Volunteers working around the clock to finish Pumpkin House

October 25, 2012 @ 12:05 AM

When the going gets tough, Ric Griffith gets carving. Well, he gets carving once the display areas for the more than 1,000 jack-o'-lanterns that will adorn his property along Beech Street in Kenova are completed and the miles of wiring for the necessary lighting of those jack-o'-lanterns is sorted out.

In the meantime, Griffith is relying on the help of volunteers, who aren't afraid to handle a jigsaw to carve the pumpkins in time for his goal completion date of Saturday, Oct. 27, which coincides with the third annual C-K Autumnfest.

Volunteers are welcome at any hour at Griffith's house, no appointments are necessary, and equipment is provided.
