Pair reportedly conspires to steal $2,100 in cigarettes
The following information was provided by reports filed with the Cabell County Sheriff's Office:
LARCENY: An employee at Rich Oil reported someone took $2,100 in cigarettes from the store the afternoon of Oct. 25. Surveillance footage showed a woman "luring" an employee to a cooler in the store while a man wearing a hoodie entered the office and put the cigarettes in a duffle bag. Deputies have a suspect.
BURGLARY, BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 36-year-old woman reported someone forced entry into her home along Tecumseh Trail in Huntington Monday and took $8,300 in jewelry, $320 in electronics and a firearm worth $400. The house sustained $300 in damage.
BURGLARY, BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 34-year-old woman reported someone forced open the rear door of her residence in the 200 block of Winesap Way in Ona sometime between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning and took $5,000 in cash, $4,000 in jewelry and $3,199 in electronics.
The following information was provided by reports filed with the Huntington Police Department:
BREAKING AND ENTERING: Officers responded to the 1400 block of 8th Avenue on Thursday afternoon for three breaking and entering reports involving rail cars parked on the train tracks in the area. The incidents were reported to police by the respective owners of the vehicles, and they are thought to have taken place between noon Wednesday and noon Thursday.
A Minnesota man reported someone attempted to force entry into his rail car, causing $2,000 in damage. No items were reported missing.
An employee for Amtrack reported someone forced entry into their rail car and took an iPod worth $150 and caused $20 in damage.
A Maryland woman reported someone forced entry into her rail car and caused $200 in damage. No items were reported missing from her rail car.
The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:
Denziel Roger Grant, 38, was incarcerated at 3:40 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with eight felony counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. Bond was $24,000.
Benjamin Todd Marcum, 32, was incarcerated at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with felony grand larceny. Bond was $7,500.
Andrea Beth Tucker, 25, was incarcerated at 2:50 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County arrested him on a felony bench warrant. Bond was denied.
Rebecca Dawn Black, 25, was incarcerated at 6:10 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with felony forgery and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
