Musical performers sought for Tri-State Pizza Festival
HUNTINGTON — Musical performers are being sought for the inaugural Tri-State Pizza Festival festival, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 15 at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards Stadium parking lot and on 20th Street.
The street will be blocked off with two stages on each end of the street between 3rd and 4th avenues. The festival is looking for musicians, bands, singers and dancers to perform. The main stage is for bands and the second stage is for dance and other performances.
Anyone interested in performing at the Tri-State Pizza Festival should contact Monica Humphrey by e-mail at monica.389@hotmail.com. You also can mail a short two-to-three-minute DVD of your performance to: Tri-State Pizza Festival, P.O. Box 5691, Huntington, WV 25703.
The festival is organized by Giovanni’s Pizza and Bartrum and Brown charity, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary of helping non-profit groups in the Tri-State.
Events already lined up for the festival include a car show sponsored by Car Stuff, bike show, boat show and kids area with inflatables.
Other Bartrum and Brown events that weekend include the 10th Anniversery Charity Auction & Dinner on Friday, May 14; the 2010 Kids Football Camp on Saturday, May 15 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium featuring Troy Brown, Mike Bartrum and other college and National Football League standouts; and the 2010 Bartrum and Brown Celebrity Golf Classic at Twin Silos at Lavalette Golf Course on Sunday, May 16.
