Midland students, faculty helping flu victim's family
HUNTINGTON — Faculty and staff at Cabell Midland High School are preparing a care package to send to the family of H1N1 victim Patrick M. Wheeler II, according to Jedd Flowers, director of communications at Cabell County Schools.
Wheeler, 14, was a freshman at Cabell Midland. He died from the H1N1 virus on Saturday.
Flowers said the school is thinking about having students make cards for the parents to include in a care package. He said the school also plans to have a plaque created and hung to memorialize Patrick Wheeler.
