Arena theft suspect linked to other cases
HUNTINGTON -- The arrest of Michael Dale Maze, 26, of Huntington, in connection with an alleged theft at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena also gave Huntington Police leads on three other cases.
Maze, originally charged with two felony counts of breaking and entering and two felony counts of grand larceny related to the theft of $12,500 in equipment from the arena, also has been tied to three additional breaking and entering cases.
Two were at Goldy Auto, located at KineticPark, and one was at the Corps of Engineers building in downtown Huntington, according to a press release from the Huntington Police Department.
All of the cases involved the theft of copper wiring.
Maze was incarcerated Friday, along with Joshua Lee Porter, 27, on charges connected with the arena break-in. Authorities are still looking for Cody Dean Donald, 20, whom they have identified as a third suspect in the arena case. Anyone with information regarding Donald's whereabouts is asked to call 304-696-4420 or the anonymous tip line at 304-696-4444.
