Police blotter: Man reports items missing, damage to residence

The following information was provided by the Cabell County Sheriff's Department:

BURGLARY: A 23-year-old man reported that his wife entered their residence along Kay Crest Drive Tuesday evening to find someone had broken into their home by throwing a piece of concrete through a door and taken various items. The victims reported that $1,700 in computers, $650 in jewelry and a gun worth $289 were taken. The damage to the home was estimated at $700.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE: A 43-year-old man reported that someone took an iPod music system worth $250 from his vehicle while it was parked in the 2400 block of James River Road Monday night.

The following information was provided by the Huntington Police Department:

FOUND PROPERTY: Police reported finding a white powdery substance in the 900 block of 8th Street. A field test revealed the substance was cocaine. The report states there was 4.7 grams of the substance worth $450.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: John E. Lucas, 37, of Branchland, W.Va., was arrested in relation to a Tuesday evening incident. Police observed several individuals lingering around an abandoned home. One person in the group shoved an unknown item into his mouth when police approached the group. Police found a plastic wrapper with a Xanax pill in the person's left hand. The substance in the person's mouth was not recovered.

LARCENY: A 31-year-old woman reported that on Aug. 7 someone took at least $1,300 in jewelry from her home in the 3400 block of Hughes Street. The incident was reported on Tuesday. Police have a suspect.

BATTERY: An 18-year-old man reported that two people struck him several times and fled from the 600 block of 16th Street Tuesday evening. The report stated that the victim had a small cut on his head and was treated by EMS.

BURGLARY: A 23-year-old woman reported that sometime between Sept. 1 and 7 someone entered her home in the 2900 block of 7th Avenue and took a purse worth $1,000, a television worth $500, a gaming console worth $200 and took various jewelry of an undetermined value.

The following information was provided by the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:

Antoine Leon Louis, 26, was incarcerated at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with a felony bench warrant. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Ricky Allen Hale, 33, was incarcerated at 10 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony fraudulent schemes. He also faces a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear in Putnam County. Bond was denied because of the Putnam County charge.

Michael Darrell Ramey, 38, was incarcerated at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with being a fugitive from justice. Bond was denied.

Yvette Lynn Ball, 37, was incarcerated at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Putnam County charged her with two counts of felony drug possession. Bond was $10,000.

John Christopher Ball, 40, was incarcerated at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Bond was $10,000.
