September 09, 2010 @ 12:00 AM

HUNTINGTON -- A man arrested last week on a felony bench warrant now finds himself facing a federal drug charge.

Curtis Levon Capers, 21, was named in a criminal complaint filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court. It charges Capers with possession with intent to distribute oxycodone.

The complaint charges Capers arrived at a prearranged location Thursday, Sept. 2, on 5th Avenue in Huntington. The document charges Capers was in possession of 60 oxycodone tablets and a 9 mm pistol at the time.

Capers was initially arrested on an on outstanding arrest warrant, according to the complaint and records at the Western Regional Jail.

The FBI Huntington Violent Crime Drug Task Force made last week's arrest, according to the complaint.

Capers was still incarcerated Wednesday morning at the Western Regional Jail.

Capers was previously named in a January 2010 indictment in Cabell Circuit Court for felony drug trafficking, carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing police. He was reportedly residing in the 1100 block of Jackson Street in Huntington.
