HUNTINGTON -- Soprano Marlayna Maynard and pianist William A. Murphy will present a recital of art songs and operatic arias at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 30, in the sanctuary of Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church in Huntington.

The recital is part of the Music at Johnson Memorial Series.

She is originally from Dunlow, W.Va.

Murphy, originally from western Kentucky, recently graduated from Marshall University with a master of arts in performance. In addition to his work at Marshall, he is the organist at St. John's Episcopal Church and the accompanist of the West Virginia Symphony Chorus.
