How to get motor vehicle registrations

WEST VIRGINIA

Division of Motor Vehicles offices are located in Huntington at 801 Madison Ave. (304-558-3900) and Teays Valley at 116 Liberty Square (304-558-3900).

Vehicles must be titled and registered within 30 days of establishing residency. The title fee is $10, lien fee is $5 (if applicable) and the registration fee is $30.

Renewing registration requires insurance information and a personal property tax receipt. For more specific information, visit www.wvdot.com.

OHIO

Local Deputy Registrar license agencies are located at 2717 South 3rd St. Suite A in Ironton (740-533-3656) and 402 Trent St., Proctorville (740-886-7202).

New residents need the vehicle's title, vehicle's loan contract (if applicable), driver's license and a second form of ID. For additional information visit www.bmv.ohio.gov.

KENTUCKY

Motor vehicle registrations and titles are administered by each County Clerk's office. In Boyd County, locations are 2800 Louisa St., Catlettsburg (606-739-5116), 335 16th Street in Ashland (606-325-3547) or KYOVA Mall along U.S. 60 in Cannonsburg (606-929-9595).

New residents need a certified inspection from their county clerk's office, the original title, a copy of the current registration of tax credit, a Kentucky proof of insurance, tax receipt from previous state, a Kentucky driver's license and money to pay applicable fees.
