HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University Fraternity and Sorority Life recently collected school supplies to donate to the Boys and Girls Club of Huntington for local children.

In about two weeks, college students donated about 6,800 items. The items were delivered to the Guyandotte Boys and Girls Club by members of the Fraternity Sorority Life on Sept. 7.

Fraternity and Sorority Life recently began a three-year partnership with the Boys and Girls Club to help raise funding, awareness and resources for the three local clubs.

Other coming events include a Trunk-or-Treat on Oct. 26, a winter clothing drive in the month of November, a toy drive in December and a kickball tournament and Easter egg hunt next semester.
