HUNTINGTON — It was out with the new and in with the antique Thursday night on Marshall University’s campus.

During the Department of Music’s Faculty Recital at Smith Recital Hall, professors Wendell Dobbs, Kay Lawson and Stephen Lawson were joined by Meg Owens of Washington, D.C., and Richard Spece of Baltimore as they brought out replicas of woodwind instruments from the late 1700s.

The quintet also performed an abbreviated recital Friday afternoon as part of the Music Alive Series at First Presbyterian Church.
