MARSHALL UNIVERSITY
MU Sustainability Department collecting clothing for homeless
HUNTINGTON -- The Marshall University Sustainability Department is conducting a clothing drive during the month of October to benefit the Huntington City Mission.
The project is part the department's Campus Sustainability Day, which will take place on campus Thursday, Oct. 25.
There will be bins set up in the Memorial Student Center for clothing, cookware and utensils. Sweaters, coats, hats, scarves and gloves are among the preferred items as the City Mission prepares for the fall and winter seasons.
The department also is seeking local groups to participate in the Campus Sustainability Day, preferably those that focus on local foods or sustainable business practices.
