Marshall students getting information needed for graduation

November 08, 2009 @ 12:00 AM

HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University had a Graduation Celebration on Tuesday afternoon to help summer graduates and expectant December grads prepare for their next step.

The event continued Wednesday, Nov. 4, in the Memorial Student Center. Representatives from nearly all of the campus offices, including financial aid, bursar, career services, the Marshall Graduate College and alumni relations were in attendance. Students could purchase caps and gowns, class rings and announcements.

The event worked well for senior history major Adam Curry. He said he was able to get a lot done in one afternoon without interfering with classes.

"This is very important," Curry said. "It helps reassure myself that on Dec. 5, I'll be graduating."

Marshall will have its fall commencement on Saturday, Dec. 5.
