Med school students elected for national organization
HUNTINGTON -- Four students in Marshall University's School of Medicine are serving as representatives for the Association of American Medical Colleges' Organization of Student Representatives.
First-year medical students Anna Clarke and Nathaniel Crow join current representatives Majd Sweiss, third year, and Brent Kidd, fourth year.
The organization represents medical students nationwide and provides an active role for students in advancing the mission of the Association of American Medical Colleges to improve the nation's health.
The organization also seeks to ensure that students actively participate in directing their education, preserving their rights and delineating their professional responsibilities. And it gives medical students a voice in academic medicine at the national level and strives to foster student involvement and awareness in this arena at a local level.
