MU to participate in energy challenge
HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University has been invited to participate in America's Natural Gas Alliance Collegiate Energy Challenge.
The challenge promotes economic, environmental and national security benefits of greater use of domestic natural gas. Students in a promotions management class have created a marketing agency that is responsible for researching, implementing and evaluating a marketing campaign plan aimed at educating and informing the local campus and community on the benefits of natural gas as an energy source.
Each participating campus will be competing for the chance to present their creative ideas to industry leaders from the program at the term's conclusion. Each group of students will receive $3,000 to help fund the campaign.
At the end of the term, students will measure their success through follow-up research and give a formal presentation to the client summarizing their campaign and results.
