MU graduate student giving piano recital
HUNTINGTON -- William Murphy, a graduate student at Marshall University, will give his graduate piano recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, in Smith Recital Hall.
Murphy, who is seeking his master's degree in piano performance, graduated from Morehead State University with a degree in music in voice performance.
He co-teaches a piano lab, is a director of the Choral Union and is a pianist and coach for the opera workshop. He also performs with the West Virginia Symphony Chorus in Charleston and is an organist at St. John's Episcopal Church in Huntington.
The recital is free and open to the public.
