Money, iPad stolen from Myers Hall
The following information was provided by the Marshall University Police Department:
LARCENY: Nearly $300 and an iPad were stolen from four offices in Myers Hall between May 28 and 31, according to a report filed June 4. The iPad was the property of the state of West Virginia, while some of the money stolen belonged to Marshall University. The rest of the money belonged to two victims.
LARCENY: A student reported on May 30 that sometime during the day, their bike was stolen from a rack outside the Recreation Center. The bike had been chained up, with the chain going through the front tire. The suspect detached the front tire and stole the bike's frame and rear tire.
On June 1, the bike was found chained to a rack outside one of the freshman residence halls with a new tire on the front. The bike was held at the police department for a week, then released to the owner.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A vehicle parked in the 3rd Avenue parking garage had its window broken out June 15. The owner was contacted but is out of the country. The incident was captured on surveillance, but the suspect has not been identified.
