Journalism students receive scholarships

HUNTINGTON -- More than two dozen scholarships were awarded to Marshall journalism students during the annual Journalism and Mass Communications ceremony.

Recipients included:

Kyle Dyer, $400 for the Marvin Stone scholarship.

Brian Dalek, $500 for the Norman and Joanne Haddad scholarship.

Adam Cavalier, $1,000 for the George Andrick/WSAZ scholarship.

Jessica Wintz, $1,000 for the Cathryn Gibbs Harris Public Relations scholarship.

Morgan Unger, $1,000 for the James E. Casto scholarship.

Federica Fornaciari, $1,000 for the Margie Crabtree Coaltrane scholarship.

Chris Adkins, $500 for the G. Terry Turner scholarship.

Megan Bryant, Whitney Burdette, Leannda Carey, Marlowe Hereford and Beth Wilson, $1,000 each for the second Marvin Stone scholarship.

Kara Busse, Kacie Chambers, Erin Deegan and Angela Marie Sundstrom, $500 each for the J.D. "Jack" Maurice scholarship.

Justin Minsker, $500 for the Manley Keith Ray scholarship.

Tom Bragg, $500 for the Ezra Cochran scholarship.

Molly Grove, $1,000 for the Dorothy Goodman scholarship.
