Campbell wins crown

PROCTORVILLE -- Kamryn Campbell, of Proctorville, was crowned 2012 Young Miss Ohio River, making her the newest crowned royalty in Pure American Pageants, a Christian-based pageant system.

Campbell is a freshman and a varsity cheerleader at Fairland High School

Campbell was named Young Miss Ohio River after competing in modeling, personal introduction and personal interview.

She will now have the opportunity to attend festivals, parades, community activities and volunteer her services to organizations helping those in need, according to a news release.
